The neighbourhood belvedere
The Spianata di Castelletto is Genovaâs best-loved panoramic terrace â and itâs right in our neighbourhood. From up here the view takes in the slate roofs of the old town, the harbour and the open sea.
Itâs a few minutes on foot, or you can ride up on the historic Art Nouveau Castelletto lift from Piazza del Portello. Itâs free â just the lift ticket if you go up that way. Come at sunset, when the city turns to gold.
